Poisoned Still.

Dear Journal,

i have some experience in healing with herb use, as well as with bandages.

often wounds need to be cleaned, occasionally blood let out, herbs applied, bandages as well.

not always this works so well however, as my skill lacks.

i am poisoned still, judging from my mood & feelings.

at this stage of recovery i am just drinking tea, eating lightly, with herbs.

i can't fight monsters very well as that.

thankfully can afford herbs still.

Herbs with Tea.

Dear Journal,

my head feels nauseous, contaminated, confused, as well as my stomach,

i am taking herbs with tea, to help with my recovery process,

sooner or later my veins should be clean from poison that way.

i'll buy more healing kits or herb bags if neccessary, perhaps it's cheaper that way.

it's said that 'a Lotus is a Very Poisonous Flower', or at least toward certain beings it can be, i think ...

P.S. Triad Temple's 'Neutralize Poison' or other prayer is out of question in my case ... i do not trust a prayer, they are too expensive as well.

Questionable Treasure of the Swamps.

i went swamps, hunting for coins.

... met a woman called Willow who found 'a treasure' there, or so she told ...

my own reward was:

- a few of gold pieces,
- a few of semi-precious gems,
- a stirge's poison in my veins, that didn't pass after a rest.

Potions, Balms, Herbs, ...

Dear Journal,

there are potions, there are balms.

potions are used by drinking, it takes a very small amount of time for someone acquainted to strange tastes.

balms are applied to body parts, take a longer while ... even if they sink through clothing.

i do not remember seeing any other balm than healing one, while potions can have many effects, not only healing.

both potions & balms are affected by wild magic & null magic zones, if i am not wrong - that's where mundane herbs & healing kits come useful.

i admit i know a little about treating wounds with bandages & herbs, but am not to be compared with Expert Healers as for example Elena Arguyle-Nightsbrooke can be.

i've went on a short trip to test how Air Elemental summoned with Censer i bought recently works with a Flame Weapon a spell ...

... it works well, airy hands burn enemies as they should.

how it's connected with 'Wind & Fire of Liberating Wisdom' ?

i don't know ...

... perhaps it can be Wisely & Skilfully used to Liberate myself & other, as a tool, at least.

P.S. Summons usually work well with Invisibility, but there are creatures that can
'Purge Invisibility', 'Hear' enemies, 'See Invisible' or do similar tricks. Kuo-Toa are one of these.

P.S.S. Summon category of spells call a creature or other object from another place, then enable to give it command(s) for a while. Conjurations create creatures from pure energy then allow for mage's control. Invocations summon & control energy, Evocations control energy available nearby. or at least i think so.

Augmenting Summons & Conjurations.

Dear Journal,

Magic works strange ways.

What works here, might not work there.

What works now, might not work later.

... etc ...

Narfell's magic is not an exception to that rule ... as magic here behaves in it's own special way.

Summons & Conjurations can be augmented, empowered, enhanced, to fight better.

What are details?

One has to check, to keep checking ... as with time magic changes it's rules.

Air Elemental fights with finesse i noticed, so Cat's Grace affects both defense as well as offense.

Mage Armor spell can be cast on it.

Endure Elements spell as well.

Probably there's more,

Shelgarn's Persistent Blade can be augmented as well ...

... i didn't experiment with 'Shadow Conjuration' so far, perhaps never will have to ...

... as it's Shar's toy, Shar has advantage with that a way.

What is Mind ? Are we 'the One' ?

What is Mind?, what is Brain?

... i think but am no expert ...

i think that Mind is Brain, Spine, Nervous System of 'whole body', as well as energies that flow, connect, separate & affect.

Matter is also Energy Form, i read ...

it seems we are all connected, somehow at least ...

... when there's suffering elsewhere, perhaps it affect us as well?

can 'we' talk about 'our mind that we share' ?

i think yes.

can our mind be separate from someone's mind?

i think in a way it can be done, even if not fully ... as energies can be formed into 'a barrier' that reduce how we affect each other.

both can be truth in my opinion, at least.

... i couldn't sit in a place for too long.

went on adventure with Kuo-Toa, got beaten very fast.

lot of common troops with crossbowmen can be nuisance without Shelgarn's Persistent Blade's aid.

their 'Kuo-Toa Bomber' throws flasks with acid that quickly remove Shelgarn's Persistent Blade.

i won, but got wounded ... then went north.

... it seems i'll stay there for a while, since Kuo-Toa got smarter & prepared for me.

went to Oscura again.

passed near Tempus' Shrine, two braziers were set alight ... i do not know what this means.

fought snakes in a cave,

'disarmed' myself properly before entering Oscuran territory again.

went to Shiny Coppers Inn, meditated, ate, drank, slept ...

... now i sit in my usual place, waiting for something to happen.

Dear Journal,

i've went for a while to Peltarch, to sell some things i got from Kuo-Toa, as Peltarch has best prices for sellers.

i still keep Peltarch's Citizen Papers so it's even legal to sell, still.

i stayed for a while as well, took coin from bank.

then got involved in an adventure ... recovering a book from Shar's Minions, recovering body of Mystran servitor, investigating disturbance in Weave, probably Shar's Shadow Weave's interference.

we went past Jiyyd to old tunnels, usually inhabited by demons or devils ... this time it was Shar's Minions, coming from, opening portals to 'Realms of Shadow'.

mission was succesful, no one died ... even if i was close to, bleeding severely on dirty ground, at certain point in time.

spoils (loot) were exceptional, i got three things:

- 'Enigma' Robe,
- Arcane Tome named: 'Dark Passages of Veiled Moon' - to study Shar's dangerous tricks & use against,
- A Little Diamond Powder - component for spells & for enchanting possibly.

i got 1000 gp as well, for now i have little over 5400 gp.

Opposition we've faced was:
- minions of Shar,
- Undead Shadows in numbers, more & less dangerous types,
- Shadow Magic & probably few of Traps.
