Potions, Balms, Herbs, ...

Dear Journal,

there are potions, there are balms.

potions are used by drinking, it takes a very small amount of time for someone acquainted to strange tastes.

balms are applied to body parts, take a longer while ... even if they sink through clothing.

i do not remember seeing any other balm than healing one, while potions can have many effects, not only healing.

both potions & balms are affected by wild magic & null magic zones, if i am not wrong - that's where mundane herbs & healing kits come useful.

i admit i know a little about treating wounds with bandages & herbs, but am not to be compared with Expert Healers as for example Elena Arguyle-Nightsbrooke can be.

  1. (EN) balms are targetted - can be used on someone else. Potions affect character that uses them. they can be given but it takes a while, practically can't be done in midst of battle.
