Kabuki Doll & Kabuki Theatre:

Kabuki is a classical Kara-Turan dance-drama. Kabuki theatre is known for the stylization of its drama, the often-glamorous costumes worn by performers, and for the elaborate kumadori make-up worn by some of its performers.

Kumadori is the stage makeup worn by kabuki actors. The term also applies to a painting method in which two brushes are used simultaneously, one for the color and the other used to create shading or other details.

Kumadori makeup generally consists of brightly coloured stripes or patterns over a white foundation, the colours and patterns symbolising aspects of the character.

Since the word kabuki is believed to derive from the verb kabuku, meaning 'to lean' or 'to be out of the ordinary', kabuki can be interpreted as 'avant-garde' or 'b0izarre' theatre.

Kabuki is sometimes translated as 'the art of singing and dancing'. These are, however, probably wrong translation & etymology.

Kabuki Doll was trying to learn singing, to sing & dance - just in case ... but her troubles with voice made her singing very poor.

She left Kabuki Theatre School and decided to develop her own art style.
