Kobolds' junk Sale.

Dear Journal,

with Nade we went to kobolds' swamps & cave again.

we've defeated many weaker & few of more dangerous kobolds.

Nade went away as usual, and i've sold the spoils.

at Mermaid i couldn't meditate so well, something distracted me.

went to Peltarch's Tournament Grounds for a walk.

remembered times when i've participated both as spectator & contestant.

then back to inn, perhaps will be able to meditate & rest later.

Raven that is following me (Anheim's Tale).

i've dared to go to 'Kobold Swamps' few times, to earn coin for an inn.

noticed a shadow cast over me, as a Raven flew above.

today it came closer, looking at me as if had chosen me for something.

understood finally one of Chea's lessons & crafted a bond, making her my familiar.

name have to choose yet.

P.S. i've decided that Raven's name will be 'Shadow'.

P.S.S. Ravens are Symbols of Death, Dragon is symbol of Fear. Shadow is Inner Dragon.

P.S.S.S. Perhaps we'll help each other to tame our Demons & Fears somehow. This requires Respect.

i wished to examine a creature known as 'Swamp Wisp' closely.

went invisible past a 'Kobold Swamp', into outskirts of lizardmen territory.

found a Wisp using my Clairvoyant Powers.

i walked closer & closer, then wisp sensed me despite invisibility & disappeared.

ran back to Peltarch, avoiding the swamps' creatures.

i've dressed properly & prepared mentally for a while.

Alvaniel's Wrath.

Dear Journal,

Alvaniel that i've met before is not someone i can help it seems.

she is kind to those who she likes, but wrathful to the rest.

i won't lighten her wrath nor enhance it in any way for it is not my way to support that.

i think best i can do is to stay away from her.

she didn't want to take exercise from me that would make her calmer.

i'll have to be wary of Bael'Enver as well, probably.

P.S. thanks to her & Bael'Enver i understood at least word 'to fathom' more or less. 'to fathom' means to understand, in her more or less holy language.

Bark Skin.

Dear Journal,

few of my potions is that of the 'Barkskin' kind.

they smell dark like trees after rain, which reminds me of disturbing emotions.

it turns adventurer's skin into a semblance of trees' bark to protect from physical blows.

this effect stacks with protection from 'Mage Armour' spell & similar.

but i am so weak in melee combat that it rarely would make a change.

best i can do is to give it to someone who can protect me & others.

or use in Enchantment process.

been once or twice more in Kobold Cave for gold. i can't remember exactly how many times.

it's very risky, but staying behind the competition too far is risky as well.

i've stored gold coin at Peltarch Bank, for it's not the Way to not help them.

now i rest & wait at Mermaid, for outside of City Hall is so intimidating with all these military men & women being so numerous & strong.

i've witnessed switch to Monarchy, with King George I elected as Ruler of Peltarch.

as i understood, Cerulean Knights are no more - but perhaps i am wrong.

i've bowed a little before Crown, but will stay away from mundane politics as usual - as far as possible.

i've looked at my potions in arcane laboratory, analyzing them.

one of vials was suprisingly a potion called 'Moon Mother's Milk'.

it is uncontaminated and can be used on important occasions of Selúne.

i've travelled to Ogre's Cave past Gnoll Woods to see Sacred Pillar with more or less desirable company.

adventure was a success, even if they didn't give me escort or time to meditate for spells when i lacked, more than twice.

one time i was poisoned and barely walked too, they didn't care - perhaps because i had an 'Improved Invisibility' spell.

i had to find them after my rest for they were so hurried.

one of them didn't want my spells, even if these could save his life.

rewards were unusually fine, but i should cease to travel in that company.

Dear Journal,

went on short trip to Kobold Cave in Swamps near Peltarch.

killed few adepts & fanatics with Nade's help, then retreated.

rules of magic seemed to change against me again, 'Clairaudience / Clairvoyance' spell seems to last shorter than before - so there's the danger from 'Kobold Silencers' who attempt to sneak & kill with the single blow or few of these.

other notable danger is from 'Kobold Adepts', who can 'Hold' a person with spell to be decimated by other kobolds, for example: 'Silencers'. it's very dangerous to walk in this cave alone, slightly safer with Nade.

P.S. Thankfully it's not so easy to damage enchanted outfit, and 'prestidigitation' cantrip spell can be used to clean the outfit easily.
