Liliana, Sister of Lunar Eclipse (Character Description).



Name: Liliana, Sister of Lunar Eclipse.

... also called: 'Lilly',
... or: 'Black Lotus',
... or: 'Lotus Flower of the Western Realms'.


Spirituality & Friends:

Follows Shar (godess of hatred and shadow magick ... a cause behind Shadow Weave), follower of Dark Moon Heresy.

Shadow Wave is considered lesser, evil alternative to Mystra's Weave. In fact it's no less powerful - it has quality of being stable, works in areas of Dead Magic and Wild Magic.

Lilly uses both Mystra's Weave and Shadow Weave ... because of Dark Moon Heresy Shar doesn't trust her and regards with suspicion - so Lilly has difficulties accessing Shadow Weave, that's her punishment from Shar.

Lilly hates with passion those who endanger or harm those she cares for. She didn't find yet a male friend with whom she could become lover or consort.

She does not want to become Lich, or other Undead form. Liche's spirit is more and more ecstatic the more power she has ... but Lilly prefers to find happiness in Love, and in other things humans find pleasant.

She avoids becoming Sister of Bones in Oscura ... as there's risk of becoming a Lich. Liches are so bound with wards and oaths that they never will be enemies of Oscura and Sisters of Bones ... and are allowed to do 'their own things' ... free to do anything they please.

Lilly regards Chea Allin with curiosity, considers being her 'Mirror Sister', 'Dancing with her in Mind, Speech and on Body Levels'.

Lilly also meditates on spells, on insight into Death and Reincarnation, and on Liberation (from suffering) and on Enlightenment.

She believes that everything, including life, death, meditation, sleep, rebirth and bardo state - are the States of Mind.

Character Idea:

A Necromancer with noble background. At court in Damara - where she was born - she advised a Minor Damaran Noble on dangers of Necromantic Origin, and on topics of death and rebirth. She studies Death, state of Bardo - what happens before Death and Reincarnation, and how to choose form in which one reincarnates.

Damara is a nation bordering Narfell from western side. Damaran Language is considered a language of Narfell natives.

She left Damara and went to Narfell because of personal reasons.

Character Idea:
- Warrior of the Arcane, with a Northern Barbarian background.
- Strikes fast & often / thanks to two-bladed sword, haste spells, fighter/barbarian levels, ... and Improved two-weapon fighting feat in future /,
- Moves fast / thanks to barbarian movement speed bonus and haste spells /.

Description:

A tall man of athletic, muscular build. Hair brown reaching to his neck, beard well-groomed. Carries long two-bladed weapon, wears black scale mail armour with symbols, probably deities he worships.


Spirituality:

On his armour there are symbols of Tempus, Waukeen and Mystra ... also, some strange arcane runes can be seen ... was his armour enchanted?


Background:
- Formerly a member of a nomadic barbarian tribe of the Northern Glacier, by the Northern Parts of the Icelace,
- Departed family clan and mingled with civilized people in Peltarch and with other people of the Southern lands,
- Learns different - less savage, more disciplined technique - a combat style of the civilized people.

Helm of Aware Mind (Isendir's Tale).

Since a while i live in Oscura, in a city in a cave.

It is a place where darkest deeds occur often - from slavery to necromancy.

It is a place where various factions compete for power both within the cave-city, and for power outside as well.

One of such factions are 'Sisters of Bones', a secretive sisterhood of women who practice necromancy.


I've made a deal with one of the Sisters, a deal to enchant a helmet for gold.


What are properties of enchanted helmet?

... well, i'll tell why first.

Just as a chain which is as strong as its weakest link, i've analyzed my strengths and weaknesses.

Conclusion is that despite my earlier efforts, my lack of strong willpower is still my worst weakness.

Also, considering that occasionally act as a scout, my perceptions lack as well.

... so the helmet would increase my willpower and perceptions.

... i've called it: 'Helm of Aware Mind' - it not only shields mind somewhat, but also makes me aware of surroundings, so i have intuition where to look and when.

Most of helmets hinder vision, but this one is different, opposite in this respect.

Description:

A well-made steel helmet enchanted to increase wearer's awareness and to shield his/her mind.


Enchantment process:

Isendir made a deal with Sister of Bones, a deal to enchant his helmet for gold.

After reserving time in laboratory & paying the fee, Sister prepares for a ritual of empowerment.

She focuses on her pineal gland - a thrid eye chakra - to impart her superior mind abilities on helm's wearer.

She purifies Helmet by draining unneccessary energies from it, then crushes moonstone and amethyst, mixes powders with oil - then spends energy.

She meditates, deeply visualizing herself and all 7 of chakras, then shifts attention to her 3rd eye chakra. She visualizes energies falling from her thrid eye onto a helmet she holds in her hands.

She smears the gem-powder & oil into helmet, spreading the mixture evenly.

Then she lights a candle and using tongs holds oiled helmet in a candle-flame, letting oil burn with smoke.

Spell she uses is 'Owl's Wisdom' for imparting mind protection and awareness qualities into the helmet.

Form she meditates on are chakras and their balance, then sends energy rays around that build up into powerfield (mandala).

Sister of Bones oversees energies as they flow, speaking arcane formulas as neccessary and correcting errors as they arise. After a proper amount of time, when all energy points are opened and joined with energy channels, she uses forms that give appropriate properties on each of them, then closes enchantment, finishing.

Helmet of Aware Mind is ready, she seeks Isendir and gives it to him.

He will check the item in a real combat.
