i've found out that it pays much better to hunt kobolds instead of goblins.

Acquired coin for some of my new equipment - for a Dark Cloak & for one Chameleon Ring.

Kobold Fanatics occasionally use well-made sickles, found one & planning to use for a while instead of my short sword.

During a fight with kobolds, however, got a bit drained by a Stirge.

i've observed my Martial Arts used against kobolds.

'high' kicks against kobolds when convenient, occasionally other fancy moves went well.

this didn't change the fact that i've returned to Peltarch wounded.

during yet another swamps' patrol a trip,

i was ambushed by kobolds.

Nade was somewhere not so near,

i had to fight alone.

Went on adventure alone, to Kuo-Toa caves this time.

There were only a few, killed them all.

On way back in Peltarch found Ragnar, the Dwarf who gave me sword not long ago.

We went hunting Kobolds of Warrens, killed all we found again.

i've ventured into swamps near Peltarch again,

Kobolds, Lizardmen & Snakes this time.

... it seems i can defeat half a dozen of Lizardmen due to my current spells,

'Haste' & 'Flame Weapon' most notably ...

... but also other enhancements & a 'Shelgarn's Persistent Blade'.

... still a risky endeavor.

Embarking on a Kobold Cave patrol.


Dear Journal,

i went to Kobold Cave again with my panther familiar,

fought Kobold Silencer in melee with Staff, as Nade snuck on him & killed.

followed deeper into the cave, killed two Kobold Adepts with spells, as Nade was wounded by more - so i've did unsummon her with a dismissive gesture.

she returned to her home plane to recover from wounds hastily.

after impulse to run that i could not resist despite calm mind, i've returned to the Cave to recover killed Kobolds' equipment.

invisible, i've used 'Shelgarn's Persistent Blade' to distract those near dead Kobold Adepts' remains, as i snuck & stole their equipment for sale.

it is said that Kobolds follow Dragons & form Dragon Cults, as is said that Sorcerers have Blood of the Dragons.

P.S. Known problem of Adventurers is turning into metaphorical monsters, as they gain in power. i think that power should not be misused or such corruption hastens inside a person & leads to terrible deeds & sorrow of many as hero turns into a villain.

P.S.S. People as they age should be more responsible, but i still found no True Love so i have to fight still - both internally against corruption & externally against monsters. another question is whether one can stop fighting after finding her True Love.

Dear Journal,

We (Nade and i) have dared Kobolds Cave. There was one kobold assassin, or 'Silencer' as they are called commonly. Nade found him (she can sniff), wounded, and forced to flee. Rest of them were easy picks.

Summary:

Restoration Scroll,
Entropic Shield Scroll,
Paralytic Crossbow Bolt,
Cure Light Wounds Balm,
2xLight Crossbow,
and few more little valuables.

Should be worth some coin.

Dear Journal, i was with Nade hunting kobolds.

We did well, she kept killing them, while i helped with my short bow and 'Shelgarn's Dagger'.

I've gathered meager spoils they had.
