A fight for alight.

Dear Journal,

Been a while since I had some time for my 'personal' pursuits.

Among the Cerulean Ranks, they treat me like a doll.

'Do not put yourself into a danger',
'You have great calligraphy',
'It would be a shame if something happened to your beautiful robe',

... and so on.

Reports & papers they give me to fill with corrections are numerous, to put it mildly.

This evening, however, I've set things in motion, or at least attempted to do so.

I've decided to pursue fight against the darkness that inhabits the land, and started with a 'Light' cantrip spell.

My boy-friend, Anheim, told me once:

'With weapons one can defeat terrorists, but with education one can defeat whole terrorism. Those who practice terrorism are often desperate, unable to help their families in their poor plight. So they sacrifice themselves in a fight against those whom they believe to be oppressors, causes of their families poor living'.

I will use my charms and wisdom in this fight, educating and acting as a diplomat.


... my pet-peeve is so called 'cause for greater good', where priests of some so-called 'good deities' educate their followers to not hesistate to sacrifice the meek when the numerous majority needs to prevail, and there's no other way.


I'll try to be like one of more famous of eastern geishas (women companions), who had a smile and kind words even for the meekest and worst.

... I'll not let myself be abused, however.

... We'll see how things will unfold.

P.S. I'll try to create some enlightening arts. One could question how Art can bring enlightenment... but well, we are Mind and have Bodies... and looking at the Art can change one's Mind State. I've heard that sometimes Mind State changes can completely alter one's perceptions, and in effect - the whole world in which one lives. People should not underestimate meaning of the Arts, I think.

Lights of Kelemvor (Anheim's Tale).

There's the difference between faiths of the West and contemplative lore of the Kara-Tur (Far East).

In the West, it's considered that after one's death, after a time in the Fugue Plane, one's soul may depart to it's deity, with help of the deity of death and dead - Kelemvor. Kelemvor promoted that death was a natural part of life and should not be feared as long as it was understood.

I am trying to integrate lessons of East and West, reading and contemplating a lot. I think that after death and a (usually long) time in the one's deity plane, one continues the seemingly endless cycle of deaths and rebirths. Western thought states that one sits at deity's plane for Eternity, but I think that no Heaven or Hell is Eternal. I think and believe that one can escape the cycle of deaths and rebirths by meditating and living accordingly.


My studies led me to compose a Rite to be performed on Kelemvor's holy day... A rite of ascetic meditation, that leads and culminates in putting candles in tiny wooden boats and letting them float in a swampy forest lake.

... long story short, the lights of these candles would guide the minds and souls of the dead to their deities, with the aid of Kelemvor.

But that's not the end - as the lights would ease the suffering of one's mind and soul after the time at their deity's plane ends. The lights would make one suffer less as he or she leaves deity's custody, and - even more importantly - guide one's mind to the lessons about Karma and Samsara, to the lessons about Cause & Effect, to the lessons that include the Cycle of Reincarnations and Rebirths. These lessons include the practices of Mantrayana (way of speaking mantras) and the practice of Meditation.

Order of Golden Light, a Helping Hand.

Dear Journal,

Within our City of Peltarch, monks have started to appear on the streets and down at the docks.

They have been handing out food to the homeless and giving small acts of charity where possible.

They spoke of the Golden Light aiding those in the Jewel of the Icelace, as our city is sometimes called.

The monks themselves seemed very pleasant, they talked with anyone who did approach.

They did not give answers to questions about their order, but simply stated that they are willing to help where they can and they do so in the name of the 'Order of Golden Light'.

i did approach them & introduced myself as a meditator & a scribe at the Selune's Shrine in the Temple Lighthouse.

i wished monks all the best, and thanked them for their efforts.

i hope all good they do will last.

A Rite of Light, Protection & Power.

... i did a small power rite again.

... my initial protections were adequate so i could start with a light, i built them earlier so i could.

i sent wishes & cast spells,

... first light to bring an illumination of knowledge, power & protection in it-self.

... next was a resistance cantrip, a power to protect.

... next was endure elements, a power to protect.

... rain is also element, as many know very well.

... under that light of protection, i cast light again nevertheless ... avoiding mental traps & defocus as well.

... it's a play of numbers as well, numerology magick as well.

Description:

High quality Stiletto made of Silver & engraved with Mantras & Spells that help wielder direct & use Arcane Energies.

After reserving time in laboratory, Chea prepares for ritual of empowerment.

She visualizes (visualization in this context is a form of imagination) Mystra's human form, a Sorceress named Midnight, surrounded by Lights.

She purifies Silver Stiletto by draining unneccessary energies from it, lights candle with fire, then spends energy.

She meditates, deeply visualizing her Spirit Teacher, as she intends to impart it's properties to Stiletto & it's wielder(s), speaking mantras (spells) that imbue Item with dharmic (arcane) blessings.

She casts Owl's Wisdom spell as she prays to Mystra for guiding her arcane energies as to use Greater Eagle's Splendor potion to impart Charisma-Enhancement spell on Stiletto's wielder(s).

She crushes aventurine gem into a powder and smears it in proper places using oil. She adds potion in proper amount to the smear as well.

Then she transforms the Stiletto magically, purifying it's structure from unneccessary elements, and engraving a proper Mantras onto Stiletto. (Mantra is Protecting Sound, but also a Vibration ... there can be Visual Mantras).

Mantras she uses are: Wisdom Mantra.

Spells she uses are: Owl's Wisdom.

Form she meditates on is Sorceress Midnight, Mystra's Avatar. She appears before her and send energy rays around that build up into powerfield (mandala).

Chea oversees energies as they flow, speaking mantras as neccessary and correcting errors as they arise. After proper amount of time, when all energy points are opened and joined with energy channels, she uses forms that give appropriate properties on each of them, then closes enchantment, finishing.

She offers them to her teacher in her mind and is allowed to use them.

Athamé of Light is ready.

She cleans laboratory, showers, dresses and goes to take her panther familiar for a walk outside town.

She will check the item in Ashald's Park once she recovers from her tired state.

When a Cloak of Darkness hides a Light Source, Demons can't sense it from afar.

Occasionally Demons bite at our Black Cloaks, trying to scatter them, to find the Light,

... Cloaks are Menace of Demons as well.

i should enchant new item, for i had insights.

'Athamé of Light', out of my Masterwork Silver Stiletto, purifying energies in process.

it should not be used to draw blood ever, only to direct Magical Energies to help us reach Enlightenment.

Light a Sundial.

During a Night i like to light a Sundial, my Artistic way to tell people to pay attention... to which hour it is.

Light cantrip practice.

Chea casting 'light' cantrip.

I've practiced with light cantrip spell. It's more than imagination, it's also directing energies outwards.

I can cast it without gestures too.. It's just little harder and costs more energy to succeed. It's metamagic feat called 'Still Spell' by some. I should learn how to cast silently too ('Silent Spell' metamagic feat).
