Dwarven Equipment (Kenna's Tale).

I was enjoying a bardic performance in the Dancing Mermaid of Peltarch, and then - at performance's finale - bard offered listeners a hint, a hint of adventure and treasures, to be found somewhere in Narfell.

'On the way to darkened places, where only the strangest do dwell, where Dwarves seek the most hideous of faces to slay, where the profane seeking exile where no-one can not find them finds their end without very much style.'

Curious, I went to Kuo-Toa lands and then to the Ettin Caves.

There I did find some vile foes and treasures of Dwarven making. Dispatched the Ettins to the fugue and took the spoils, then carried these to Norwick, to Dwarven Hold, to return the items to their legitimate owners.

The Dwarven Method.

Dear Journal,

... i was chatting with adventurers recently, about days of old & about evil sorceress named: 'Vinessa Redoran'.

She was one of old Villains, beside corrupted druid named: 'Defiler'.

Anyway, she had a cave of her own in Rawlinswoods, filled with deadly traps.

Rogues who knew this cave said that it was very hard to find and disarm these... unless one used 'The Dwarven Method'.

What is the 'Dwarven Method' then?

... dwarves are known to be tough, and their method consisted of just walking into a trap, springing it.

... sometimes they (dwarves) survived.

-- Truly Yours, Chea Allin, Adventuress.

P.S. I hope that there are schools of dwarven method that uphold the traditions of old. If there are, one can expect their efficiency to detoriate due of improvement in traps construction and setting up ... and - blame civilization - dwarves are not as tough as they were before. But, perhaps - there are those who care still - and try to challenge dwarves of old in that field. And yes, dear journal, i am not completely serious this time.

Rod of Wonder (Amyliomendur's Tale).

- a Well-made Dwarven Full Plate Armour. -

It was a while since i wrote.

Debts paid, debts got - bought a well made dwarven full plate armour.

Been adventuring, had a visit in fugue - but was brought back for a price.

Acquired 'Rod of Wonder' - magic item that produces unforeseeable results, but can be last chance method in hopeless encounters.

Dwarven Plate & Worgs (Amyliomendur's Tale).

Worgs.

i bought a dwarven plate armour from an adventuring dwarf, for 1000 gold pieces.

Plate armours of lesser quality are usually sold for 2500-3000 gold pieces, so this was quite a deal.

i estimate it's value to be of about 4000 gold pieces.

Costs of corrections (size & other) at Violetta's were neglient, mostly because of it's modular construction.

Dwarves are one of best Armoursmiths across the lands, but elves are in many ways finer.

Then we we went westwards on a combat adventure.

One place seemed to be a witness some recent deaths, was full of blood.

Whatever it was, we found only Orcs, Worgs & Wolves.

Armour was battle-tested, turned out a fine protection in practice as well.

i keep.

Dwarven Diplomacy.

Drinking with Dwarf.

Dwarven diplomacy is simple, just give them something good to drink and do not get too drunk when they give back their fine ale or spirits.

In my case 'Imagination' drink, then 'White Lotus Extract' to clear the mind after, did the trick. I hope so at least. It was costly, but good experience.
