Weapons Collection (Amyliomendur's Tale).

Adventuring and trading for equipment often go together.

Better equipment allows to dare more dangerous hunting trips, often with better rewards.

Recently got - with some of Tymora's Luck - three weapons, for my collection.

Exquisite Sword and Sword of The Dutiful Squire are my main weapons, one more useful on certain occasions, another more useful on other occasions.

Also found Enchanted Light Flail, efficient against skeletons, against other undead, as well as against full plate armoured adventurers and against those who have means of protecting themselves from cutting weapons.

.. i also have weakly enchanted longsword to sell cheaply, for about 900 gp.

Fair prices of these weapons are, according to my estimates:
* Exquisite Longsword: 6 000 gp,
* Sword of Dutiful Squire: 7 200 gp,
* Enchanted Light Flail: 1 200 gp.

Finding a good trade offers often requires time and dilligent study of the rumours, as well as advertising and spreading rumours. That's how i did find and buy my Exquisite Longsword.

While i am not so easily disarmed, having more than one weapon is useful on these occasions when enemies try to make me drop equipment - either magically and/or using their martial disarming skills.

P.S. Finding a Longbow with a good pull - requiring high strength - seems a reasonable sidearm for archery occasions. While i am far worse archer than many - including my brother Isendir - it can be useful when i'll add at least a little to this type of combat effort.

Trading for Equipment (Anheim's Tale).

As my combat skills advance, i draw attention of tougher foes.

... i've understood that i need better equipment - especially of protecting nature.

... i can use only a few of equipment pieces, so i need to invest in quality - and this is not cheap.

... found someone who sold me Ring of Protection - for 7 000 gold pieces - with medium-strong protecting enchantments, that made most of my Black Belt's enhancements obsolete.

... as equipment's power increase, certain pieces of equipment do not need to be carried or worn, can be replaced with better-enchanted items.

... also bought 'Bo Staff' - for 3 000 gold pieces - enchanted to wound those of the beasts, that are resillent to non-magical and weakly-magical weapon.

It's a large & long Staff, requires great strength to wield it efficiently - should look for 'Bull's Strength' Potions and for 'Greater Bull's Strength' Potions, that are good choices complimentary to the Bo Staff.

P.S. Buying already-made equipment saves one of the chores of going through enchantment, and related memory loss and other mind-body weakening. i am trying to buy what's worthwhile, then to enchant rest of what i need.

Back in Narfell.

Dear Journal,

... i've visited Damara and sought a boy named Kensho.

My insights and other signs led me to his birth place, to his family.

... i've charmed secretly his parents, cast spells hidden at night by house's window. Then i've knocked to their doors and revealed myself.


I've explained that boy has great destiny before him in Narfell, and that he needs arcane training, lessons i can offer him. After a long talk, under charm spells, they let me take boy with myself.

... i've joined escorted caravan from Damara to Narfell, i've paid them in full.

Soon i'll find old friends, and introduce them to Kensho - i'll pretend i am his mom.
